The accident occurred at Washington and Bridgeport Road around 6 a.m.
Police said the brothers were pushing a "disabled vehicle" along the road--that vehicle may have run out of gas. The truck hit them from behind while they were moving the vehicle, police said. Investigators said both brothers were wearing reflective vests, and the disabled vehicle's emergency flashers were activated.
One of the brothers is listed in serious condition; the other critical. Their names have not been released.
