The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has released the identity of the suspect involved in the northeast side apartment complex shootings.

Michael Anderson, 30, is accused of shooting four people, before fatally shooting himself.

The shootings occurred at the Villa Paree Apartment complex, located in the 6100 block of Allisonville Road, at approximately 4:27 p.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived, they located Anderson outside the fence of the complex’s pool.  When officers attempted to question him, police said Anderson turned the gun and shot himself in the head.  He was transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The officers then found two employees who had been shot in the leasing office.  One of the employees, 45-year-old Alicia Koehl, was fatally wounded.  The other, 61-year-old Charlene Sanders, was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Another wounded employee, 30-year-old Jacob Wiseman, was located in a neighboring business parking lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  He was transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Officers later located a resident, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, in her apartment. Stephanie Bellamy, 29, was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Police said the motive for the shootings is unknown at this time.
