Troopers investigating Christopher Coy's death served a search warrant at his home Tuesday. Aubrey Coy, 24, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia after officials searched the home.
The boy died two days later. An autopsy determined he died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.
The boy's father, also named Christopher Coy, was arrested for neglect of a dependent resulting in death June 18.
Both Christopher Coy Sr. and Aubrey Coy are being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
