Police say an arsonist is responsible for a fire at a vacant house on the city's east side.
Fire broke out in the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. It took crews about 40 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
The house is a total loss. Damages are estimated at $125,000.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
