"Two months (summer break) is fine by me," Pierce said. "We get two weeks for spring, fall and winter."
While Warren Township might start first, other districts plan to follow close behind. Perry Township heads back Tuesday, Decatur and Franklin townships on Wednesday and Wayne on Friday.
Indianapolis Public Schools begins next Monday, Aug. 6.
