One family is working to keep the memory of a man alive by helping a cause near and dear to his heart.
The money came from the Eric Wells Memorial Foundation, which was established after Eric was killed after his motorcycle was hit by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer David Bisard’s squad car in 2010.
The money was raised during the Eric Wells Memorial Ride earlier this month, and it went to a cause Eric championed from an early age.
"We wanted a program that really focused on children and not only getting them better temporary but also making sure that they were well taken care of and looked after," said Luisa.
Eric and his family have been helping needy families in the community for approximately 20 years.
