WorldBed is donating 100 emergency field beds to tornado survivors in several affected areas, including Indiana.
This first shipment of beds will be distributed among survivors in Alabama, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee.
“The devastation that the victims have suffered will take months and years to heal, but in their immediate time of need, WorldBed offers them the comfort of a bed where they can rest and sleep so they can recover from their losses,” said Laura Castro, WorldBed president and executive director.
The cot-sized beds are made with a water resistent, medical grade covering. Giving Children Hope will help with the distribution.
The project is made possible by donations from individuals and bedding companies. Relax the Back and Ergo Customized Comfort are just two of the participating partners.
Those interested in donating can do so online.
