I have zero interest in recognizing Gibson, the human being, after his many public incidents depicting a less-than-tolerant person. As an actor, however, Gibson absolutely reasserts his power with this difficult role as a man whose depression results in him speaking through a beaver hand puppet as his only chance to reconnect with the world. It's a strange movie handled nicely by director/co-star Jodie Foster and especially in the lead turn from Gibson. |
