Phil Pizzimenti, a technician at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, on Tuesday examines Alex Mateo Francisco, who born just after 5 a.m. at a hurricane shelter in Warfield Elementary School in Indiantown during the peak of Hurricane Frances. It was Mateo’s first visit to a hospital since his birth.
