The Riley Wildcats proved they had heart in Saturday night's Class 4-A Regional Championship in Michigan City. The Wildcats took on defending state champion East Chicago Central, and Cody Henson’s rebound basket at the game buzzer capped a 14-0 run for Riley in a 61-60 win!

J.T Breveard finished with 20 points in the game, 12 of which came in the fourth quarter. Breveard also knocked down six 3-pointers for Riley.

Cody Henson, Larry King and Zac Cook each finished with eight points, as Riley earned their first regional title in over a decade! The Wildcats play Marion next Saturday at either Lafayette Jefferson or Warsaw.

In Class 3-A, it was also a close match between Plymouth and Northwestern, as the Pilgrims hoped to advance to semi-state for the second year in a row. The game came down to the wire, and Randy Davis delivered for Plymouth once again.

Davis hit three last second free throws to give the Pilgrims the points they would need to stay alive in their quest for another state title, with a 59-58 win over Northwestern!

The dream season continued for Culver Saturday afternoon in Class 2-A! Fresh off their first sectional title since 1985, the Cavaliers beat Garrett, advancing to Saturday night's regional game against Westview, who ran their winning streak to 22 games in the regional semi-final.

The Warriors made it 23 against Culver with a 64-33 win, and need just one more for a trip to state!

In Class-A, a buzzer beater helped Triton advance Saturday afternoon and they kept the momentum going against Fort Wayne Blackhauk! The Trojans earned the Class-A Regional Championship with a 61-47 win, as they set their sights on a semi-state victory.
