INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis hasn't given up on trying to attract a Super Bowl to the new Lucas Oil Stadium.

City officials have sent 14 binders full of information to the NFL to meet Tuesday's bid deadline. For the second year in a row they are trying to convince league officials to hold one of the world's biggest sporting events at the downtown stadium that is expected to open in August.

The bid lays out where the committed hotel rooms and public meeting spaces are, the city's transportation plan, the seating availability and configuration, and the number of suites available to the NFL.

The city is trying to raise $25 million in private money to pay for the game.

The NFL turned down the city's bid to host the 2011 contest. It went to Dallas instead.

This year, Phoenix and Houston are also vying for the February 2012 game.
