INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Defensive back Matt Giordano, a restricted free agent after last season, re-signed Friday with the Indianapolis Colts.

Terms of the new contract were not disclosed.

Giordano, a fourth-round draft pick out of California in 2005, started four of 12 games last season and five of 39 games in his three years in the NFL.

A safety, he has three career interceptions, including one he returned 83 yards for a touchdown in a season-opening win over New Orleans last year.
