BRENTWOOD, TN -- Offensive lineman Alex Bullard has selected Notre Dame, according to an online report in The (Nashville) Tennessean.

Bullard is a 6-foot-4, 275-pound guard who picked the Irish over Michigan and Tennessee.

"It's a good fit for me," said Bullard, who plays at Brentwood Academy. "I liked the smaller campus, smaller classrooms and just how prestigious a school they are."

Bullard's commitment comes one day after the Irish landed linebacker Dan Fox, a 6-foot-4 219-pound 4-star linebacker out of Cleveland's St. Ignatius.

Bullard is the seventh player to commit to Notre Dame's recruiting class of 2009. That group does not become official until Feb. 4, the first day a prospect can sign a national letter-of-intent.
