SOUTH BEND (AP) — A highly rated cornerback from California who previously committed to playing football at UCLA starting in 2009 has changed his mind and plans to attend Notre Dame.

"I'm done," Marlon Pollard said. "I'm a hundred percent" committed.

The 6-foot, 160-pound cornerback from San Bernardino, Calif., said he made his decision after making an unofficial visit to the Notre Dame campus last month.

CSTV recruiting analyst Tom Lemming ranks Pollard as the 70th-best player nationally, pointing to long arms and quick feet as reasons why Pollard is a coveted recruit.

"Everything needed to be an outstanding cornerback," Lemming said.

NCAA rules prohibit coach Charlie Weis and his staff from commenting on recruits until national signing day Feb. 4.
