NOTRE DAME -- Notre Dame's return to glory is being led by a bunch of teenagers!

"It's fun to watch Michael Floyd out there. It's fun to watch Golden Tate out there. It's fun because they play with such enthusiasm," says head coach Charlie Weis.

Floyd and Tate are jsut two of many underclassmen, playing at a level well beyond their years.

Notre Dame has 14 touchdowns this season. Twelve of those have been scored by freshmen and sophomores!

"Not to mention the fact that the quarterback, he's in that group, too," Weis adds of sophomore quarterbacck Jimmy Clausen, who has thrown nine touchdown through four games. "I think these guys are starting to show they can get some production."

The Irish youth movement isn't just reserved for the guys on the offense. Notre Dame has scored a pair of touchdowns on defense as well, courtesy of sophomore Brian Smith and freshman RJ Blanton.

"I think even though some of them are only in their second year of playing, you're starting to get more experience built with those young guys, just coming and bringing some extra energy," says Weis.

It all bodes well for the future. The present looks pretty good too!
