BOURBON — Triton's Colton Keel is indeed the "real deal." Whether it's leading the Trojans to another victory on the court, or in anything else for that matter.

"He's always here for camps helping kids, doing the little extras that most kids don't do. He puts the time in the community, and on the court," said coach Jason Groves.

Keel proved his gumption last year for the Trojans on their march to the school's first state title. In back-to-back weeks, there was Keel with the game-winning tip-in!

"I just did what a basketball player is supposed to do," said Keel last spring after his game-winner in the 1-A semi-state.

And it's that experience that the Trojans will need to tap into the rest of the year, starting this Saturday in another Final Four match-up with Laf. Central Catholic.

"He's huge. He went through all that and he knows how to handle it," said teammate Cody Carpenter .

"He brings everyone up to his level. He's our go-to-guy for sure," Joel Meister added.

The Bethel-bound A/B student has certainly left his mark on the budding Marshall County program, and he might not be done just quite yet.

Congratulations to Triton's Colton Keel, our Burger King Outstanding Student Athlete of the Week!
