Notre Dame football: WR Jones commits to Irish

South Bend - Notre Dame has landed its 16th verbal commitment for the recruiting class of 2010 with the pledge of Gainesville, Ga., receiver Tai-ler Jones.

The 6-foot, 178-pound Jones is the son of former Irish defensive lineman Andre Jones. Tai-ler Jones had been committed to Stanford but switched to Notre Dame this weekend.

In seven games this season, Jones has caught 36 passes for approximately 640 yards and 11 touchdowns for the state's top-ranked team.
