SOUTH BEND - Tevin Lake is passionate about his favorite sport: Football.

"I enjoy playing it", Tevin admits with a smile. "I've been playing it since I was little"

It shows - Lake is one of the leading rushers in Northern Indiana, tallying over one hundred yards per game through eight games, and nearly 7 yards per carry.

And he's got a tremendous knack for finishing the endzone.

"He brings determination. He brings effort. He brings motivation," boasts head coach Frank Amato. "Everything he brings is a positive."

"He's a senior who leads more by his actions than by his words."

Tevin credits his family support for helping in his success, both on the field and in the classroom. Tevin plans on attending Butler University next fall.

"My biggest supporter is my mom. She's always there for me, win or lose, bad or good", Lake says.

"She helps me with school work, and gives me advice when I'm going through struggles."

"His biggest attribute is that he goes all out in everything that he does", says Amato. "Whether its academics or on the football field."
