Can you feel the cloud that hovers over this venue?

No not the ones that are some 20,000 feet in the sky, hovering for most of the weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Its rather the one created by the owners and the players of the NFL, and a new agreeement that not only remains unsigned but also undrafted as the March 4th midnight deadline approaches.

Those questions have been the most prevalent at the 2011 Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium, one where the game of inches and seconds usually dominate the headlines.

While that certainly is the case at times during this annual meeting in Indianapolis, it is the labor situation that hovers over most of the media and NFL personel as the weekend continues.

On Saturday there was the appearance of Cam Newton, who is a host of story angles in itself. It also was a day in which a former Hoosier and two former Boilermakers-one who was at the podium and another who had a camera on his head.

No really. Former linebacker Jason Werner is wearing a camera on his head, mounted to a helmet as part of an NFL Network attempt to give fans an upclose look at trying out for the scouts.

Fox 59's Larry Hawley is at the combine and will offer perspective throughout the weekend. Click on the video above to hear his commentary for the day.
