The Chuckstrong movement continues to spread—and Colts fans are being asked to join in.
The Colts announced Monday that Colts cheerleader Megan M. would allow Blue the mascot to shave her head if the team raises $10,000 for leukemia research by Nov. 25.
The Colts released this video to make the agreement "official."
The team has set up a website where people can make donations. If $10,000 is raised, Megan will let Blue shave her head during the Colts-Bills game on Nov. 25. All money raised through the challenge will benefit leukemia research at the IU Health Simon Cancer Center in honor of Chuck Pagano. The Colts coach began a second round of chemotherapy last week.
Fans can also shave their heads in honor of Coach Pagano by visiting Great Clips locations through Friday, Nov. 23. For each fan who shaves his or her head, Great Clips will donate $10 toward the campaign. Fans are encouraged to tweet their photos using the #CHUCKSTRONG hashtag.
Colts punter Pat McAfee will kick off the campaign Tuesday at the Great Clips at 55 S. Raceway Rd. in Indianapolis from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. McAfee will get a “touch up” of his recently shaved head and encourage fans to follow suit.
