Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie suffered a mild concussion during Sunday night’s preseason game at Pittsburgh, head coach Chuck Pagano confirmed Monday.

The veteran WR suffered multiple concussions in 2010, which cut his season short and threatened his career.

Pagano remained optimistic that Collie would return from this latest head injury.

“He felt really good coming in today, but we’ll be smart,” said Collie.

The team plays this Saturday night on the road against Washington, and Collie’s status remains in doubt.

Pagano said Collie will go through a battery of tests throughout the week, and his progress will be measured on a day-to-day basis.

Defensive end Cory Redding is also considered day-to-day after suffering a mild MCL sprain.
