COLLEGE BASEBALL

Dylan Dunn had three hits and four RBIs to lead Hagerstown Community College to a 15-5 win over Prince George’s in the opener of a doubleheader sweep on Monday afternoon.

Jacob Keeney and Chris Kulik had two RBIs each for the Hawks (15-10) in the first game.

In the nightcap, Josh Knupp had three hits and three RBIs, Cole Sellers had three hits and two RBIs and Lazaro Torres had two hits and an RBI as the Hawks won 18-5.

Keeney reached base in all eight of his plate appearances in the twinbill.

PREP BASEBALL

Brunswick 11, South Hagerstown 1

BRUNSWICK, Md. — Brunswick sprayed 10 hits and used six South Hagerstown walks to score nine runs early en route to a five-inning MVAL Antietam victory.

The Railroaders scored five runs in the second and four in the third to take a 9-1 lead.

The Rebels (1-2, 0-1) scored their only run in the top of the third on an RBI single by Ryan Barton. Keith Johnson had two hits for South.

Brice Beachley and Dallas Darling led Brunswick (3-0, 1-0) with two hits each.

Colin Poyle had a triple to lead Heritage Academy in a season-opening rout of Broadfording Christian Academy that was called after five innings.

Joe Garrish had two hits, including a two-run homer in the first, for the Lions.

Hole-in-one

Arnie Gozora recently fired a hole-in-one on the sixth hole at Whitetail Golf Course in Mercersburg, Pa. Gozora used a 9-iron to score the ace on the 126-yard hole. The shot was witnessed by Don Reeser, Roddy Rohrer and Bill Hose.

Softball team needed

The Pinesburg Saturday Morning Tavern Softball League has an opening for one team to fill out its schedule for the upcoming season.

All games will be played Saturday mornings at the Pinesburg Softball Complex.

Alumni football game

An alumni football game between Martinsburg and Musselman high schools will be played April 22 at 3 p.m. at Shepherd University’s Ram Stadium in Shepherdstown, W.Va.

Admission for adults will be $10. Students with ID and men and women in military uniform will be admitted for $5 and kids 5 and under are free.
