GIRLS BASKETBALL

HANCOCK — Southern Fulton won the Hancock Holiday Classic, defeating Clear Spring 76-32 on Saturday to remain unbeaten.

Macey Hollenshead, named the tournament MVP, led Southern Fulton (8-0) with 18 points, 10 assists and seven steals.

Ashley Roman had eight points and nine rebounds, Taelor Morton had 14 points and Kayla Chilcote scored 10. Morton and Chilcote were also on the all-tournament team.

Samantha Staley led Clear Spring (3-4) with 13 points.

HANCOCK — Kristen Shoemaker scored 18 points and added five steals and four assists as Hancock won the consolation contest in the Hancok Holiday Classic.

Sara Wagner added 13 points and Alisha Shives had eight rebounds and five points for Hancock (5-4).

Jade Boone scored 28 points for Broadfording (1-7).

Everett 55, Boonsboro 43

EVERETT, Pa. — Boonsboro missed 27 layups and Everett hit 24 of 39 free throws and beat the Warriors for the title in the Everett Holiday Tournament.

Shannon O’Brien had 16 points, six rebounds, six steals and four blocks for the Warriors (4-3). Claudia Jenkins scored 15 points and had 10 steals and five rebounds for Boonsboro. Tiffanie Bowman also had 10 rebounds.

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Kristen Nunn had 16 points for Hedgesville in a loss to John Marshall (8-1) at the Fairmont Senior Holiday Classic.

Alexis Taylor had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles (5-5), while Carly Elliott had 10 points and Bianca Creamer added eight points and seven assists in the loss.

Saint James 75, Oakton (Va.) 55

MOUNT VERNON, Va. — Saint James won its second straight game with a decision over Oakton (Va.) on the final day of the Mount Vernon Holiday Tournament.

Obi Enechionyia had 20 points, 16 rebounds, seven blocked shots and four assists for the Saints (5-7). Nnamdi Enechionyia had 19 points and six rebounds and A.J. Carr had 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks in his second game of the year returning from an offseason injury.

Sherman Harris had an all-around game with eight points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals for Saint James.

PREP WRESTLING

Wildcats’ Miller, Davis win tourney titles at Damascus

DAMASCUS, Md. — Williamsport’s Nick Miller and Bryan Davis both won their weight classes at the Damascus Holiday Invitational.

Miller prevailed at 106 pounds and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Lightweight Wrestler, while Davis was the champion at 126.

Also for the Wildcats, who finished sixth out of 21 teams, Kobe Baker (145) was fourth, Sinjin Shoop (138) and Austin Keadle (195) each placed fifth, Austin Golden (182) was sixth, Justin Beckley (113) and Lasher Urciolo (220) each placed seventh and Tanner Canfield (120), Jacob Cody (170) and Brandon Iseminger (285) each placed eighth.

South Hagerstown, which finished 13th, had three placewinners. Isaiah Brooks was third at 106, Marquil Holt was fifth at 285 and Luke Heinrich took sixth at 132.

The team title was won by host Damascus.
