NOTRE DAME — You'll never hear the term "boring" used to describe Irish golfer Josh Sandman on the golf course! His creativity on the golf course sets him aside from most collegiate players.

"He definitely has his moments where the coach says, 'No! No! No! Yes! Yes! Yes!' after he hits the shot," admits Notre Dame golf coach Jim Kubinski. "Josh has done that a lot!"

Sandman agrees. "I think imagination and creativity is a big thing that I have. Being able to play a lot of different shots around the green. High, low, spin it to the right or to the left. I enjoy it so much. I come out here and work on a different shot every day, and see if you have those shots when the time comes."

This spring ... he definitely has! Sandman has placed in the top ten of every tournament he's entered since early March! Now, he's got his eyes set on a national title.

" I know I can play with these guys," Sandman told WSBT Sports. "I've done it before."

"If Josh plays well, not only can he advance, he can win!" adds Kubinski.
