ND Lacrosse falls in NCAA Tournament

ITHACA, NY – Third-seeded Syracuse scored the game’s last three goals to take an 11-9 decision over sixth-seeded Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals on Sunday.

Syracuse took a 6-2 edge into halftime, before Notre Dame came storming back. The Irish scored five straight goals in the 3rd quarter, to take a one goal advantage. Syracuse would close the game by scoring the final three goals. The Orange advance to the NCAA semifinals.

The Fighting Irish end the 2008 season with a 14-3 record.
