The world first got to know Darius Walker in 2004, when as a freshman, he burst onto the scene with a pair of touchdowns runs against Michigan.

After leaving Notre Dame early, he's spent the last two seasons with the Houston Texans in the NFL.

"Football is my life right now. It's what I do," said Walker. "That's all I really know."

But two years after leaving South Bend, Darius Walker is back! Back in class, that is.

"Being back at school is a blast," Walker admits.

For three years Darius Walker made a name for himself inside Notre Dame Stadium. Now that he's back on campus, he spends most of his time across the street at the business school, making good on a promise he made to his mom before turning pro.

"I promised mom I would definitely come back and get this degree," he said.

In addition to classwork, Walker spends 3-4 days a week working out, staying fit for his NFL career. He also works a part-time job 3 days a week, as he prepares for life someday after football!

Darius Walker is definitely enjoying his stint the second time around.

"It's really cool being a regular student," he said.

And once that FINAL, final exam is over:

"It's gonna be a party," Walker said with a smile. "The whole family's coming. It's a milestone!"
