Notre Dame softball stayin' alive

ANN ARBOR - The Notre Dame softball team advances to the final day of competition at the NCAA regional in Ann Arbor.

Notre Dame dropped a tight contest to Michigan, 2-1 in the afternoon Saturday, before bouncing back to beat Miami of Ohio 5-3 in the loser's bracket.

The Irish will face Michigan again Sunday at 1pm. They need to beat the Wolverines twice, to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
