SOUTH BEND (AP) -- Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis isn't sure where the blame should fall for his team's 1-9 season.

Weis talked with the players after Saturday's 41-24 loss to Air Force about his frustration regarding the lack of progress and asked them who's at fault--student or teacher?

There was no clear answer. Weis said most years he's been able to get his message across in meetings, see it translated onto the practice field and then onto the playing field on game days. He can't figure out why he can't do that this year.

Notre Dame has set school records with nine losses in a season and six straight home defeats.

The Irish have two more chances to win -- Saturday against Duke and Nov. 24 at Stanford. The team's only win this season came Oct. 6 at UCLA.

One Bad season and everyone wants Coach Weis out. I have said it before when you lose all the offensive weapons you had last season you can't expect the same this season. True fans weather the storm.

Weis didn't drop a half-dozen passes Saturday. Weis didn't get run over on defense by the smallest RB I have ever watched. Weis didn't get blown off the line of scrimmage. The players are ones on the field not executing.

When a few students don't learn it's probably the students. When the entire class doesn't learn---hmm it's probably the teacher.

First and foremost the blane is Weis, who is not a coach to begin with. And alot of the blame belongs to who ever at ND who hired him. They should have learned their lesson by now. This is the third time they have made the same mistake.
