TOPEKA — Even before she led the Lady Warriors to the Class 2-A basketball state finals a couple years ago, the town of Topeka has toasted the name of Tiffany Fisher.

Westview High School’s Tiffany Fisher is on the verge of breaking every girls’ basketball record in school history!

"She already holds the career record in blocks, rebounds, and she's just within a couple of games of breaking our all-time scoring record,” said Randy Yoder, girls’ basketball head coach.

And basketball isn't even her main sport!

After graduation she's off to Purdue on a volleyball scholarship. The decision to choose volleyball over basketball wasn't an easy one for Tiffany. But in the end one sport was enough … at least for right now.

"I love both sports, but volleyball just stood out to me and I love Purdue and the team’s really cool,” Tiffany told WSBT Sports. “I may play basketball down there my fourth and fifth year.”

"She's really developed into a team leader this year and her maturity is really evident," Yoder said. "So we just feel extremely blessed at a 2-A school like we are here to have an athlete of her caliber."

Tiffany holds a 3.6 GPA and plans on going into the health field at Purdue.

Her biggest collegiate challenge, though, may be keeping the peace between her family!

"Some of my family likes Purdue and some like IU so there may be a little conflict, but they'll learn to like Purdue!" she said.

Congratulations to Tiffany Fisher, this week’s Burger King Outstanding Student Athlete!
