SOUTH BEND — While the Notre Dame hockey team had the weekend off, they still managed to get some ice time!

The Central Collegiate Hockey Association, Fox Sports Net, RBK, the Detroit Red Wings and Perani's Hockey World along with the Notre Dame hockey team hosted a "Have Fun, Play Hockey" clinic at the Joyce Center this weekend.

The free clinic was open to boys and girls, ages 5-11, who have pre-registered and have not played organized hockey.

This is the first time that the "Have Fun, Play Hockey" clinics have been held at the Joyce Center since the CCHA started the program.
