SOUTH BEND (AP) — Sophomore Will Yeatman was suspended indefinitely from the Notre Dame football and lacrosse teams Tuesday for an undisclosed violation of team policy.

The 6-foot-6 tight end from San Diego started three of 12 football games and had six catches for 37 yards last season.

He led the Irish lacrosse team with 46 points last spring and was named Great Western Lacrosse League newcomer of the year.

Brian Hardin, Notre Dame's director of football media relations, would not comment on the nature of the violation but said it involved both sports.
