CHICAGO - The Chicago Cubs will send seven players to the All-Star Game while the White Sox will have just two.

All-Star Game rosters for the July 15 Midsummer Classic were announced, and the seven players selected by the Cubs are the most among National League teams.

Catcher Geovany Soto, and outfielders Alfonso Soriano and Kosuke Fukudome will all start for the National League. Soto is the first rookie catcher to ever be named a starter in the All-Star Game.

They will be joined by teammates Aramis Ramirez (3rd base), and pitchers Carlos Zambrano, Ryan Dempster and Kerry Wood.

The White Sox, on the other hand, have no players in the American League starting line-up, which is dominated by Red Sox and Yankees.

Third baseman Joe Crede and outfielder Carlos Quentin were both named reserves. Jermaine Dye is one of five players that can be voted into the final spot by the fans.

The All-Star Game is on July 15, and will be played in Yankee Stadium.

If the White Sox are so good, why didn't their fans vote for their players?

That's interesting, b/c they split the season series 3-3 and the Sox have almost an identical record while playing in a tougher league. 7 players is ridiculous. No pitchers from the best top to bottom pitching staff in the league is ridiculous. Finally, you are ridiculous.
