Adams wins sectional baseball crown

SOUTH BEND - South Bend Adams wins their first sectional baseball title since 2000, shouting out fellow city rival South Bend Clay 9-0 Monday night at the Cove.

The Eagles scored a pair of unearned runs in the first, on an error and a double steal, and never looked back.

Adams' junior ace Darwin Ereu threw a gem for the 2nd game in a row in the playoffs, keeping the Colonials off the scoreboard.

Adams will face Lake Central in the opening round of the LaPorte regional on Saturday at 11:30 AM.
