NOTRE DAME - The Notre Dame hockey team released its schedule for the 2009-10 season on Thursday. The schedule is highlighted by a visit to the defending national champs, Boston University on October 20th.

The Irish could play as many as ten games against teams that made the NCAA tournament field of 16 a year ago. Two each against Miami and Ohio State, four against Michigan, BU and a potential date with North Dakota in the Shillelagh Tournament.

Head coach Jeff Jackson likes the variety the schedule will provide.
““The four games with Hockey East opponents and being in the Michigan/Michigan State cluster (four games each) will create an exciting element to this year’s schedule for our team and fans," Jackson said.

"We are also excited to bring Irish hockey back to Ft. Wayne and Chicago to help expose college hockey to those two great hockey cities. ”
