BREMEN - With the start of the 2009 high school football season on Friday, the Bremen Lions are looking forward to reloading this season.

"Most people think this year is a rebuilding year and really, I don't think it is," said senior linebacker Austin Coffel. "Hopefully it's more of a reloading year and I just want them to be shocked about it."

With only 3 returning full-time starters, 8th year head coach Rich Moren knows there is plenty of work to be done for his young squad.

"For the last couple of seasons we've felt like our level of play at Bremen has been where we've been working to get it back to," said Moren. "So we're looking forward to the opportunity to continue it and show that just wasn't a year or two deal, and that we're back for the long haul."

Senior safety Eryk Zimmerman hopes Bremen's youthful unit will be able to prove some people wrong.

"With our very young team, a lot of it is just coming out and competing and showing that Bremen's not down," said Zimmerman. " We're trying to not make this as much a rebuilding year at it is a reloading year."
