It's official.

The Notre Dame outdoor hockey game at Soldier Field will be officially announced at a press conference press conference at 2:00 p.m. CT.

The event will be called the "Hockey City Classic" and will feature a doubleheader of games -- Notre Dame vs. Miami-Ohio, as well as Minnesota vs. Wisconsin.

WSBT first reported the news in April. The game will be Feb. 17, but the official announcement on the date and time will not be officially announced until Wednesday.

It will be the first outdoor game at Soldier Field. Wednesday's announcement will also include details about activities taking place on the ice at Soldier Field in the two weeks leading up to the event. Irish defenseman Sam Calabrese will represent Notre Dame at the official announcement.

Notre Dame is also slated to face Miami -- the one in Florida -- at Soldier Field this fall, in football. Soldier Field is the home of the NFL's Chicago Bears.
