Atkinson (123 yards, 10 carries, 1 TD) and Wood (118 yards, 18 carries, 2 TDs) became the first pair of Irish running backs to crack the 100-yard rushing mark in the same game since 2002 (Ryan Grant and Rashon Powers-Neal).
"He had a good week," Kelly said of Riddick, ND's second-leading rusher and leading receiver. "He had a little bit of an elbow strain. He's been in for treatment, (but) he ran extremely well all week, didn't take any reps off.

-- Notre Dame senior tight end Tyler Eifert this season may be well off the school-record (for a tight end) receptions total he set in 2011, but he's making every one count.
Eight of Eifert's 11 catches this season have resulted in a touchdown or first down.
-- Irish senior middle linebacker Manti Te'o last Saturday moved into fourth place on ND's career tackle list with 372. Next up, at 396, is Steve Heimkreiter (1975-78).
Bob Crable (521) holds the school record, followed by Bob Golic (479), uncle of current Irish players Mike Golic Jr. and Jake Golic.
