KANSAS CITY (AP) — Notre Dame got a goal and assist from both Anders Lee and Peter Schneider to beat Nebraska-Omaha 3-2 in the championship game of the Ice Breaker men's college hockey tournament on Saturday.

Lee and Schneider both scored in the first period for the Fighting Irish (2-0-0). Thomas DiPaul scored what turned out to be the game-winner at 12:45 of the second period.

Michael Young had tied the game for the Mavericks (1-1-0) midway through the first period. Andrej Sustr pulled UNO within a goal late in the second period.
