Notre Dame football recruiting: ND gets RSVP from OL
The 6-foot-6, 301-pound Theus, who is verbally committed to Georgia, confirmed Tuesday that he will make an official visit to Notre Dame. Theus plays at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla., and is rated as the top left tackle prospect in the country by recruiting analyst Tom Lemming.
"I'm 100 percent committed to Georgia," Theus said. "But in case something does happen to Georgia, I know what I want to do."
The Bulldogs started 0-2 but rebounded to win their last two games to even their record. Theus' brother, Nathan, is a freshman offensive lineman at Georgia.
A number of other uncommitted prospects are expected for the USC game, including offensive lineman Zach Banner and running backs Byron Marshall, Keith Marshall and KeiVarae Russell, among others.
Wide receiver Bryce Treggs, who is committed to Cal, also is expected.
