WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame made the cut for a video game promotion highlighting college football traditions, but Purdue didn't.
The Journal & Courier of Lafayette reports that fans were asked to vote online for one of 25 gameday traditions featured in the EA Sports NCAA Football '12 game. The top 16 teams made it to bracket-style voting rounds that will eventually be down to one winner.
Purdue's large drum, which it bills as the world's largest, wasn't among the 16 top traditions. But Notre Dame's "Play Like a Champion" sign-touching tradition made it to the bracket round.
EA Sports will provide the winning school hundreds of copies of the new video game.
