MISHAWAKA - Penn high school senior Gabe Miller recently committed to play colleeg football at Nebraska. Miller received an offer from Nebraska while taking a visit earlier this summer, and informed coach Bo Pellini of his decision before returning home.
"I knew other offers would come," Miller said "but nothing would be as nice as Nebraska."
Miller is the starting center for Penn, but will play long snapper in college. The Huskers expect him to come in right away in the fall of 2013 and take over the starting job immediately.
"I definitely wanted to go somewhere where I;d be competing for championships," Miller says.
"The Big Ten championship is in sight, and so is a national championship."
An added bonus will be playing in the Big Ten. Lincoln, Nebraska is about a ten hour drive from Mishawaka, but it will be the farthest his friends and fmaily have to ravel to watch him play.
"I know my parents plan on coming to every game. That will be nice!"
