CHICAGO -- Tommy Rees will start at quarterback for Notre Dame against Miami tonight in place of Everett Golson. Notre Dame just announced Golson has been benched for a violation of team rules.
Golson is eligible to play tonight versus Miami, and is currently participating in pre-game warmups.
Golson has started all four games this season for 9th ranked Notre Dame, however Rees finished both the Purdue and Michigan games.
