The on-again, off-again NFL lock-out is back on.
And I can't sympathize with the players or the owners in this labor dispute.
The big losers here are the fans.
I have a message to the NFL players and the NFL owners. GROW UP.
The NFL labor dispute is nothing more than a bunch of millionaires fighting a bunch of billionaires over the dollars that we, the fans, have lined their pockets with.
The NFL is a $9 billion dollar enterprise split among 32 teams.
Let me do the math for you. That's $281,250,000 per team.
And PLENTY of it is going to the players. I know not everyone makes $18 million per year like Tom Brady. But show me ONE guy, who isn't making more money annually playing football than he's worth in any other industry.
Can't do it.
As for the owners…
If you can afford to shut down operations, and lose an entire year's revenue - which again, is an average of $281,250,000, perhaps you can afford to give your employees a raise.
What neither side can afford is a year without football.
You'll all lose money...
And instead of leverage, the only thing you'll gain is a nation full of angry fans.
So please...
End the nonsense...and play football.
