"It was just a shock, the utter, complete shock," said Kristina, a mom whose daughter was allegedly molested by William Everage.

The innocence of four children lost, reportedly taken by a member of their own family.

"I feel like I failed my daughter, failed to protect her. It is hard to swallow. How do you keep your kid safe if you can not trust your own family?" said Kristina.

Cyndi and Kristina are the mothers of two of the victims. Fox59 is not giving their last names to protect them and their children. It is something they said Everage did not do.

"Never once did I suspect," said Kristina.

"Neither did I," said Cyndi. "I was gone for 25 years so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and right under my own nose it is happening in the upstairs bedroom of my own house."

Everage has been charged with five counts of child molesting four girls ranging in age from 8 to 12.

According to Anderson Police, Everage:
  • had intercourse two times with one of the girls
  • made the victims rub and touch their private areas
  • forced the victims to watch child and adult pornography
  • forced the girls to touch each other in a sexual manner

The girls later told their mothers that Everage said there would be trouble if they did not do what they were told. What added to this situation for the family is that fact that, according to police, Everage failed to register as a sex offender.

"State law requires 72 hours for a sex offender to register once they move from one address to another address," said Anderson Police Detective Joel Sandefur.

Both Cyndi and Kristina said their little girls are not so little anymore. They have been forever changed, by a man they trusted.

"Now I have to sit there and explain to this little girl that the things she was forced to do to my daughter were not her fault and that I was not mad at her. How awful for a 12-year-old girl to have that kind of guilt on their chest and on their shoulders?" said Kristina. "There is no fixing that."

Also busted in this case was Everage's girlfriend, Jessica Tooley. According to Anderson Police, Tooley used one of her family members in the sex games she and Everage allegedly played.

There's one account of getting one of the girls to drink a concoction known as "Bullfrog." It is a mixture of vodka, Mountain Dew and Kool Aid. After drinking the mixture Everage and Tooley allegedly performed sexual acts on the little girl.
