It looks like prices at the pump won't go as high as predicted earlier this spring. The government dropped its outlook for summer's average prices to $3.79 a gallon.
The original estimate was $3.95.
Some analysts went to extremes in the past few months, predicting prices as high as $5 a gallon in the summer months. But a recent drop in the price of oil has sparked the change.
Crude oil has gone down about 8 dollars a barrel in the last 2 months.
