Pacers make $100K donation to Red Cross for tornado relief

The Pacers and the Indiana Fever made a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross.

The Indiana Pacers are making a huge contribution to the tornado relief efforts in southern Indiana Monday.

The Pacers and the Indiana Fever made a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross.

Donations to the fund will be accepted at Tuesday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks at 7 p.m. in the Bankers Life Fieldhouse. 

Fox59 is proud to help collect those donations.  To donate, just look for Fox59's Bob Donaldson, Brian Wilkes, Fanchon Stinger and Chris Hagan.   Red Cross volunteers, along with the Pacemates and mascot Boomer will also be accepting donations from visitors. 

“The Indiana Pacers organization is proud to be a part of this effort. The need is great and we are happy to do whatever we can,” said Pacers and Fever owner Herb Simon. “We join our fans and the citizens of Indiana in helping those in need.”

Contributions will also be collected at both sessions of the first round of the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday.
