Baltimore Mayoral Candidates 2011

It's time to start shaking hands and kissing babies for the field of candidates seeking the office of mayor in Baltimore. Eleven filed to run: 6 democrats, 2 republicans and 3 unaffiliated. Campaigns are underway as the primary date, Sept. 13 , 2011, nears.

Catalina Byrd says she's running because she's "seeking to unify Baltimore regardless of race, religion, and class to work as one city toward creating sustainable and safe neighborhoods for all of our children to grow up in."

Byrd is an unaffiliated candidate who is currently collecting signatures to make the ballot this November.
