Henry Rosenberg, primary financier of a statue of Robinson that was erected near Camden Yards last year, said the Orioles' Hall of Famer was recuperating from the accident.
A floor nurse at Memorial Regional Hospital, in Hollywood, said Robinson, 74, was "resting comfortably, and sleeping" in a semi-private room there.
Efforts to reach Robinson, his family and spokeswoman were unsuccessful. Hospital officials declined comment, citing patient confidentiality.
Witnesses at the baseball dinner at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, in Hollywood, told the Palm Beach Post that Robinson was seated on an elevated stage when he leaned backward and fell about six feet to the floor, fracturing his shoulder in two places. Paramedics treated and transported him to the hospital.
Robinson was unable the Joe DiMaggio Legends Game on Saturday, the highlight of the weekend's festivities.
