Three hundred and eighty six seniors were awarded Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees May 12 during ceremonies marking Juniata College's 134th commencement.
Brittany Violet Danel of Stoystown, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in unified elementary and special education. Danel is a 2008 graduate of North Star High School and daughter of Edward and Kathy Danel.
Hannah Morgan Long of Johnstown, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in natural science with a secondary emphasis in entrepreneurship. Long is a 2008 graduate of Westmont Hilltop Senior High School and daughter of Steven and Susan Long.
Amanda Marie Schmidt of Boswell graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and digital media studies with a secondary emphasis in marketing and information technology. Schmidt is a 2008 graduate of North Star High School and the daughter of David and Priscilla Schmidt, Jr..
Justin Michael Paul of Garrett graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology. While at Juniata, Paul was awarded a Greater Research Opportunity fellowship from the U.S. CPA, was inducted into the Juniata College Honor Society and served as the Geology Club president. Paul is a 2008 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and the son of David Paul and Patricia Marteney.
