  9. Rebate program saves York County taxpayers nearly $240,000 over the past few years

    The York County Commissioners today announced that taxpayers have saved nearly $240,000 through a free rebate program used for routine purchases and bill payments. The Commissioners in 2007 agreed to begin participating in the Pennsylvania Local Government Investment Trust's Procurement Card Program.
The "P-Card" program offers rebates to counties, municipalities, school districts, authorities and other local governmental entities for purchases made using the card. About 190 organizations in Pennsylvania currently use the card, according to the Local Government
